Purchasing Specialist Construction Duties and Responsibilities

• Be a voice in the strategic material buyout phase of upcoming projects
• Assist the project manager in the execution of the material buyout plan for assigned projects
• Help coordinate and manage the material buyout for projects from inception to completion
• Review project materails and contributes ideas for cutting costs
• Carry out daily operational tasks in an effective and timely manner
• Track and directly report project material order status updates to project manager
• Help problem-solve issues and suggest ways to improve the material ordering
• Organize, file, and maintain all current inventory items.
• Enter information into and manage the inventory databases
• Assist in ensuring compliance with necessary specifications
• Help create, manage, and maintain the project material budget
• Coordinate and execute daily administrative tasks
• Schedule and confirm deliveries to warehouse for timely completion of project schedules
• Help create and adhere to project timeline and calendar
• Maintain positive vendor and client relationships
• Ensure project adheres to a set schedule and is meeting the goals of the client

Purchasing Specialist Construction Requirements and Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Purchasing or as an bookkeeper
• Knowledgeable in our specific field
• Proficient in Google Suite and other management software
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Skilled collaborator
• Excels in a high-paced work environment
• Strong communication skills both oral and written
• Ability to multi-task effectively
• Focused and supportive to management at all times
• Self-starter who works well independently
• Adaptable and calm under pressure
• Expert problem solver.

We are seeking an experienced, motivated individual to join our team as a Assistant Construction Estimator. Our company works on commercial construction projects, so you must be familiar with a wide range of worksites, cost structures, and timelines. Your job duties include analyzing construction plans and documents and providing a comprehensive cost proposal for potential clients. Every estimate needs to address all relevant governmental regulations. Excellent communication skills are required to present your estimates to stakeholders and clients.

Construction Estimator Duties and Responsibilities

• Create comprehensive cost estimates for a wide variety of construction projects
• Verify vendor and subcontractor estimates fall within the defined scope
• Create estimates for all necessary insurance considerations
• Maintain client confidentiality

Construction Estimator Requirements and Qualifications

• Associates degree in a relevant field preferred, but not required
• Prior experience as an estimator and general contractor
• Proficiency with cost estimating software
• Familiarity with construction practices, costs, and procedures
• Experience with vendor management, procurement, and construction management
• Drafting experience and/or proficiency in reading construction documents a must
• Knowledge of of Google Office Suites and/or Excel a plus
